Sweet Home police, sheriff, court logs: March 27 to April 2, 2023

Circuit Court

Warrants are out on the following individuals: Curtis Ray Daniel, Ashlee Dee Flanagan, Aaron Thomas Halvorson, Issac Booker Justham, Noe Hernandez-Reyes, Michael Trevor Hilton, Faron Walter Kennedy, Taylor Robert Mespelt, Carrie Lynne Miller, Kendra Lynne Montoya, Larry Robert Morgan, Michael Allen Perry Jr., Julianne Nicole Phillips, Joseph Clayton Pritchett, Christopher Thomas Reed, Tammy Lavonn Robinson, Steven Edward Robinson, Paula Marie Lea Skyles-Lutzi, Zachary Shane Stegner and Cameron Michael Wark.

On March 30 the court allowed the state’s motions to dismiss with prejudice charges against the late Samuel Frank Ayers, 24. Charges against Ayers in two cases were driving while suspended, unlawful possession of cocaine – commercial, felon in possession of a firearm, attempted unlawful delivery of cocaine – commercial, failure to perform the duties of a driver when property is damaged, third-degree escape and felon in possession of a firearm.

Joshua Scott Dawson, 44, was charged March 29 with fourth-degree assault. Bail was set at $10,000.

Dylan Jaymes Johnston, 31, was sentenced March 29 to 30 days jail and a $100 fine based on a plea of guilty to failure to report as a sex offender.

Steven Dale Myers, 53, was charged March 27 with unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Benjamin Allen Wilson, 70, was charged March 28 with first-degree theft for allegedly stealing a firearm from the East Linn Museum.

Trevor Mac Wilson, 18, was sentenced March 21 to 60 days jail and 36 months supervised probation based on a plea of guilty to menacing constituting domestic violence and unlawful manufacture of a destructive device. Charges of unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a destructive device were dismissed.

March 27

2:50 a.m. – Samantha Stotz, 31, of Sweet Home, was cited on a warrant, 44500 block of Quartzville Road. Report taken.

3:56 a.m. – Amber Barton, 44, of Sweet Home, was cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured. 12th Ave./Kalmia St.

4:11 a.m. – Deputy informed occupants of a location at the intersection of North River Drive/Foster Dam Road that camping was not permitted around Foster Lake.

8:23 a.m. – Kristian Winney, 18, was arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree criminal mischief X2 and unauthorized entry into motor vehicle X2, and second degree theft and first degree attempted theft, 1950 Main St.

10:34 a.m. – Caller reported water theft, 1200 block of Fern Lane. Report taken for theft of services and second-degree criminal mischief.

11:16 a.m. – Katherine Marie Berghoffer, 42, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Corvallis Police Department.

12:41 p.m. – Christopher Bacorn-Renoud, 31, was arrested for fourth-degree assault-domestic after the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 40300 block of Holley Heights Loop. Bacorn-Renoud was lodged at Linn County Jail. Report taken.

1:46 p.m. – Deputy responded to a report of livestock at large in the 40400 block of Holley Heights Loop. Caller reported that neighbor’s goats are regularly running loose. Report taken.

3:12 p.m. and following – Deputy assisted multiple people stuck in snow along Quartzville Road.

3:37 p.m. – Corey Alan Smith, 58, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of failure to perform duties of driver when property is damaged, Oregon State Police.

March 28

1:33 a.m. – Suzanna Marie Dahlstead, 45, was arrested on Lane County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft, Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

2:52 a.m. – Samantha Leean Stotz, 31, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

7:59 a.m. – Sheriff’s Office and AA Towing responded to recover a semi truck stuck in snow near Milepost 26 on Quartzville Road. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the semi’s driver, hauling a 53-foot trailer “blindly followed his GPS, which routed him up Quartzville Road en route to Bend, after seeing U.S. 20 length restrictions.” Quartzville is still snowed in at the top and not for over-length trucks. Truck had to be towed down.

9:38 a.m. – Deputy warned occupants of an RV camped on the side of a road near the intersection of Kingsbury Road/Mountain Home Drive. Warned them about laws relating to overnight stays.

3:44 p.m. – Caller reported that a brother-in-law had stolen and used a debit card, 2200 block of Juniper Court. Report taken for fraudulent use of credit card and second-degree theft.

7:19 p.m. – Caller reported that a male had trained his dog to bite her; as a result, she couldn’t leave a trailer because the animal wouldn’t let her out, 1800 block of Tamarack St. Joshua Scott Dawson, 44, was arrested for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence and maintaining a dangerous dog. Arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of fourth-degree assault, attempting to commit coercion, and first-degree theft.

10:21 p.m. – Deputy made multiple contacts with an individual regarding mental health concerns, 800 block of 43rd Avenue. Information communicated to Linn County Mental Health.

March 29

1 a.m. – Shyanne Nickole Church, 25, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of failure to appear on an original second-degree charge, Albany Police Department.

10:19 a.m. – Multiple residents ran over nails in the 27200 block of High Deck Road. All neighbors had the same issues. Deputies walked the road and a couple of driveways and found a few nails on High Deck. Unknown why they were on the road and who put them there.

10:25 a.m. – Deputies contacted a female in a motorhome in the 38400 block of Glass St., and informed her that she did not have permission to be on the property. The female was working on repairing the motorhome, which had broken down. The property owner allowed her more time to remove the vehicle from the property.

3:27 p.m. – Caller reported that his son came onto a property and took belongings from a residence, 800 block of Alder St.

4:27 p.m. – Jonathan Warren Underwood, 29, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Sweet Home Police Department, 1950 Main St.

6:37 p.m. – Kyle Sabato, 21, was cited for driving uninsured, 4100 block of Main St.

7:26 p.m. – Ulexis Marie Cloonan, 21, was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass, McDonald’s, 2000 Main St. George Dunn, 20, was also cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass.

8:32 p.m. – Jimmy Donaldson, 19, of Brownsville, was cited for speeding, 38800 block of Hwy. 228.

9:06 p.m. – Caller reported a white car parked behind a property he’d recently purchased, 1300 block of 44th Ave. An officer responded, contacted and trespassed male and female from the location. Cameron Michael Wark, 33, was cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft X2.

March 30

7:08 a.m. – Caller reported someone throwing a glass at his vehicle window, 2400 block of Harding St. Report taken for second-degree criminal mischief.

9:33 a.m. – Carl Hoogesteger, age unavailable, of Sweet Home, was charged with livestock at large after goats were allegedly out on road, 40400 block of Holley Heights Loop. Report taken.

10:16 a.m. – Fawn Marie Burleson, 38, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for fraudulent use of a credit card, Lebanon Police Department.

10:38 a.m. – Gregory Tibbs, 55, was arrested on an Albany Police Department warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Albany Police Department.

11:25 a.m. – Ryan Dale Magee, 46, was arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and theft of services, Deschutes County.

12:19 p.m. – Two four-wheelers were reported stolen from a barn in the 24700 block of West Brush Creek Road. One was a Kawasaki 40 valued at $1,500 and the other a 1984 Honda SX250 valued at $500. Theft occurred sometime over a month-and-a-half period. The Kawasaki was blue, and the Honda was red. Report taken.

1:04 p.m. – Caller reported trespass at AirBnB destination on river, 40600 and 28800 blocks of Weatherly Lane. Guest overstayed reservation. According to the Sheriff’s Office, suspicious people were hanging around outside the AirBnB. The people left shortly after the call. Deputies helped the host move the guest out.

5:47 p.m. – Christina Cash, 29, was cited for driving uninsured, 17th Ave./Elm St. Cited and released on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation. Bryce Taylor Keenon, 26, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of providing false information to a police officer and a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of fourth-degree assault.

10:51 p.m. – Katie Stockwell, 39, was cited for driving with a suspended license, 3200 block of Main St.

11:24 p.m. – Bryce William McGowan, 39, was cited and released on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation and on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for criminal driving, 7-Eleven, 2405 Main St.

March 31

12:37 a.m. – Matthew Carl Martin, 32, was arrested for providing false information to a police officer and on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree theft and failure to appear on original charges of second-degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest. Arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court, and on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of fourth-degree assault, 1200 block of 1st Ave.

2:48 a.m. – Joey Dawayne Persinger, 29, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Albany Police Department.

7:31 a.m. – Caller reported a 2018 Chevy Duramax pickup on March 31 from 30900 block Victory Drive in the Lebanon area. On Saturday morning, the caller saw the truck driving on Marks Ridge Road. The caller said the truck came back down the road at a high rate of speed. The caller tried to block the road and stop the truck, when the stolen truck rammed his truck multiple times. Deputies searched the area and deployed a drone. The stolen truck was located unoccupied on a property in the 29600 block of Berlin Road. Snap On tool box with tools was missing. The vehicle was returned to its owner. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating and following up on leads. Report taken.

11:08 a.m. – Sheriff’s Office received a report from Cascade Timber Consulting security staff that people were shooting on Weyerhaeuser property off the 39700 block of Childers Drive. CTC called back later to report that shooters were not on Weyerhaeuser property, but asked for extra patrols in the area for people digging for/stealing petrified wood.

1:47 p.m. – Daniell Marie Miles, 36, was cited for driving with a suspended license, 45th Ave./Main St.

3 p.m. – Peter Robert Piazza, 39, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree animal neglect, Albany Police Department.

3:44 p.m. – Sheriff’s Office checked a location in the 40000 block of Hwy. 228, where the son of the homeowner had moved. Trash, burning, and vehicle and foot traffic has become steady, “day and night,” according to LCSO. Nothing criminal was found, but the situation will be forwarded to appropriate officials due to individuals living at the location with no water, power or sewage, per Sheriff’s log.

7:13 p.m. – Brian Daniel Watkins, 49, was cited for driving with suspended license and no insurance, 7-Eleven, 2405 U.S. Hwy. 20.

April 1

3:55 a.m. – Michael Evan Matthews, 38, was cited and released on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation, City Hall, 3225 Main St.

4:32 a.m. – Machaelray Jensen, 42, was cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree criminal mischief, 2400 block of Main St.

5:51 a.m. – Ryan Wesley Sechrest, 36, was cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft and criminal driving X3, an Albany Municipal Court warrant for criminal driving, a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation, Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of delivering meth, unauthorized use of vehicle, second-degree theft, first-degree theft and attempting to elude police officer/reckless driving/criminal driving, and on a Lebanon Justice Court warrant for criminal driving, 2405 Main St.

7:29 a.m. – Caller reported having a restraining order against a male who was repeatedly calling her, 500 block of 6th Ave. John Patrick Debrie, 40, was arrested for a restraining order violation.

9:10 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle break-in, 4900 block of Mimosa Circle. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree theft.

9:29 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle hit in the parking lot, Bi-Mart, 1980 Main St. Report taken. Damage: over $3,000.

1:44 p.m. – Caller reported a male yelling and threatening him in the 1100 block of Nandina St. Henry Lee Foote, 52, was arrested for second-degree criminal mischief X2 and second-degree disorderly conduct.

1:57 p.m. – Deputy patrolling the Calkins Boat Ramp contacted male and female attempting to illegally camp there, 44500 block of Quartzville Road. They were advised to leave the area by dusk.

3:27 p.m. – Caller reported an identity theft, 1200 block of 44th Ave.

4:49 p.m. – Kevin Earl Terwilliger, 60, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

5:25 p.m. – Caller reported someone backing into her vehicle, Towne Pump, 890 Main St.

7:07 p.m. – Scott David Citro, 47, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on original charges of offensive littering and second-degree criminal trespass X3, 1300 block of Long St.

10:44 p.m. – Brandon Dale Miner, 36, was cited and released on a Marion County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft, and on Albany Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of failure to appear on an original charge, Thriftway, 621 Main St. Amy Leigh Barnes, 32, was cited and released on a Yamhill County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of failure to appear on a first degree original charge and failure to appear on an original charge.

April 2

2:45 a.m. – Courtney Meadors, 40, was cited for driving with suspended license and no insurance, Mountain View Road/Long St.

10:23 a.m. – Deputy responded to report of a citizen who crashed a vehicle and was stuck down a 200-foot embankment. Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District personnel were able to assist the subject back to the roadway. Oregon State Police requested technical rope rescue from the Sheriff’s OFfice Search and Rescue team. SAR was canceled as the driver was able to hike up to the road. Further information on driver and vehicle not available. No LCSO units made it to the scene before being canceled.

3:11 p.m. – Caller reported not being allowed to retrieve his belongings from a vehicle towed to All Star Auto Repair, 1801 Main St. According to the caller, his credit card, which was inside the vehicle, was used at two different locations. Report taken for fraudulent use of credit card.

7:35 p.m. – Quintin David Schilm, 31, was cited for driving with a suspended license, parking lot, Veterans of Foreign Wars, 580 Main St.

8:10 p.m. – Caller reported loud music from an upstairs neighbor, 900 block of Long St. D. Lavern Durwood Bailey, 55, was cited for city ordinance noise violation.

8:29 p.m. – Caller reported a male coming at the caller with a chainsaw, starting a fire in the garage containing a female’s belongings, cutting the power to a house, and repeatedly threatening them, 28000 block of Riggs Hill Road. Report taken for menacing and second-degree criminal mischief.
