Feb. 20
4:35 a.m. – Thomas Junior McCarthey, age not listed, was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured, 10th Ave./Long St.
7:24 a.m. – Caller reported a male leaving her neighbor’s house, then walking in the opposite direction upon seeing her, 1900 block of Long St. According to the caller, the man should not have been at the location, as the neighbor was not home. Clarence David Lee Vogel, 22, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of two counts of third-degree theft.
9:32 a.m. – Billy Joe Richardson, 56, was cited and released on two contempt-of-court warrants after a deputy responded to concerns about people who might have stayed the night at Gedney Creek Board Ramp. All parties denied having stayed the night.
10:05 a.m. – Billy Joe Richardson, 56, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
10:25 a.m. – Deputy contacted male who appeared to be camped in a turnout in the 43400 block of Marks Ridge Drive. Male told the deputy he had been there for only an hour and planned to leave within the hour.
11:58 a.m. – Caller reported two motor-vehicle drivers hitting each other and physically fighting, 1800 block of Main St. Jeromie Ray Tenbusch, 40, was arrested for fourth-degree domestic violence assault and menacing.
Feb. 21
12:52 a.m. – Shauna Ray Harden, 29, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of fleeing/attempting to elude, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
6:22 a.m. – Loyd Patten, 56, was cited and released on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon and on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of contempt of court, 900 block of 6th Ave.
7:33 a.m. – Deputy responded to a report about possible damage to a trailer, 39600 block of Hwy. 228.
9:35 a.m. – Deanne Williams, 64, of Foster, cited for failure to renew registration, Hwy. 20/Clark Mill Road.
10:08 a.m. – James Keeney, 84, of Cascadia, was cited for driving without license and failure to renew vehicle registration, 5700 block of Hwy. 20.
10:50 a.m. – Julie Thompson, 54, of Cascadia, was cited for driving uninsured, failure to register vehicle. 1300 block of 47th Ave.
2:00 p.m. – Caller reported finding spent bullets on ground in 28600 block Hwy. 20. Sheriff’s Office responded and determined that they were from logs shot before harvest.
5:17 p.m. – Caller reported a female bringing in a suspicious item, possibly a bomb, found in a garbage can, A&W Restaurant, 1010 Main St. A manager placed the item in a bucket and put it outside. Officer responded. The Oregon State Police Bomb Squad confirmed that the item was a hoax device.
10:08 p.m. – Delbert Joe Tunnell, 48, was arrested for first-degree forgery, first-degree theft and computer crime, 400 block of Maple Lane.
Feb. 22
2:36 a.m. – Matthew Michael Walsh, 33, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Milwaukie Police Department.
7:46 a.m. – Ethan Bird, 50, was cited on two failure-to-appear warrants after a deputy spotted a man sleeping in a car in the day-use area, 6000 block of Hwy. 20. Report taken.
9:51 a.m. – Caller reported a trespassed male at Thriftway, 621 Main St. Loris Whitton, 67, was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass.
6:35 p.m. – Michael Evan Matthews, 37, was cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second- and third-degree theft, a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving with a suspended license and a Linn County Justice Court warrant for first-degree criminal trespass, 1200 block of Main St.
8:19 p.m. – Alexander Michael Maybee, 27, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft and an Albany Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft, 2200 block of Main St.
11:08 p.m. – Dallas Andrew Samson, 40, was cited on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal trespass and arrested on a Linn County Supervisory warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of offensive littering, 4600 block of Main St.
1:40 p.m. – Clayton Mayfield, 43, of Sweet Home, was arrested for second-degree criminal trespass and offensive littering on BLM land in the 24200 block of Brush Creek Road. Report taken.
Feb. 23
4:40 a.m. – Johnny Lee Stone, 30, was arrested on an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for parole violation, Sweet Home High School, 1641 Long St.
10:49 a.m. – Sara Kay McBee, 31, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for theft of services and a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for driving with a suspended license, 1950 Main St.
11:17 a.m. – Marcus Charles Dodson, 30, was arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
2:01 p.m. – Female left with expensive chocolates, Thriftway, 621 Main St.. She left a male and the basket at the store and was seen running behind the Church of the Nazarene. Lynette Irene Johnson, 44, was cited and released for third-degree theft.
2:17 p.m. – Deputy located a 16-year-old reported as a runaway from Lebanon in the 40900 block of Hwy. 228. He was returned to his father. Report taken.
3:05 p.m. – Caller requested officers for a female being abused, 1900 block of Kalmia St. A male could be heard in the background telling the caller to drop a weapon. Another caller reported a disturbance involving two males in which one used a knife to slash the tires on the other’s car to prevent him from leaving. Robert Allen Chastain, 64, was cited and released for fourth-degree assault.
Feb. 24
7:00 a.m. – Jamie Crystal Glass, 30, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Lincoln County.
10:12 a.m. – Caller reported a cut fence and fuel line, 1300 block of Clark Mill Road. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree theft. Approximate theft value: $30.
11:33 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a wallet in the 47300 block of Hwy. 20. Report taken.
12:10 p.m. – Caller reported a break-in at a residence he was moving from, 1100 block of 46th Ave. Nothing appeared to have been stolen. Report taken for first-degree burglary and first-degree aggravated theft.
12:29 p.m. – Caller reported a guest having a mental health crisis and requiring removal, 1400 block of 24th Ave. Alizabeth Schmer, 24, was cited and released on Benton County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of resisting arrest X2 and first- and second-degree criminal trespass, and for third-degree theft X2 and second-degree criminal trespass. Cited and released on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of resisting arrest.
12:44 p.m. – Caller reported having video footage of a January theft, Thriftway, 621 Main St. Report taken. Approximate loss of value” $18.
4:25 p.m. – Officer reported a driver striking a vehicle waiting for a tow, 1200 block of Nandina St. Nathaniel Ryan Hammett, 36, was cited for driving with a suspended license.
4:32 p.m. – Sheriff’s Office Snow Cat team rescued a dog that had injured its hip while recreating with two individuals snowshoeing about four miles from Ray Benson Snow Park. Dog didn’t want to walk and the Snow Cat team was training in the area, so members were able to transport the group to safety, 27100 block of Big Lake Road.
7:30 p.m. – Graydon Daniel Chapman, 19, was cited and released for third-degree rape, 4300 block of Long St.
8:13 p.m. – Graydon Daniel Chapman, 19, was cited and released on a Linn County Circuit Court cite-and-release warrant for second-degree custodial interference X2, 1950 Main St.
9:14 p.m. – Two males emerging from Chewy’s reportedly bent a stop sign into a roadway, 12th Ave./Long St. Both were reported to have possibly left eastbound in vehicles. An officer was unable to find them. He successfully bent the sign away from the street. However, it wasn’t stable. Information sent to Public Works.
10:03 p.m. – Caller reported a male asking everyone for money and frightening employees, 7-Eleven, 2405 Main St. Clarence David Lee Vogel, 22, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft.
Feb. 25
12:52 a.m. – Deputy responded to a noise complaint in the 39000 block of Crawfordsville Drive. Spoke with those involved. The offending party agreed to keep the music turned down for the remainder of the night.
1:27 a.m. – Officers responded to a structure fire, Fir Lawn Lutheran Church, 109 W. Holley Road. Report taken, investigation continuing. See page 1.
12:55 p.m. – Caller reported a female requiring an escort from a railroad right-of-way, 18th Ave. Clifford Lawrence Stoner, 50, was arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants X2. Also charged for resisting arrest.
5:49 p.m. – Deputies pulled a vehicle back onto the road after it slid off and became stuck due to snow conditions, Old Hufford Drive/Shot Pouch Road.
9:59 p.m. – Franklin Luster Cutbirth, 41, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Oregon State Police.
11:37 p.m. – Zachary Shane Stegner, 37, was cited and released for fleeing or attempting to elude a police vehicle, Green River Road/37th Circle. Also cited for driving with a suspended license, driving uninsured and expired registration.
Feb. 26
1:02 a.m. – Caller reported a male sitting in a vehicle in front of the caller’s house and refusing to leave, 200 block of 10th Ave. Bryce Taylor Keenon, 26, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of providing false information to a police officer.
7:53 a.m. – Deputies, Cascade Timber Consulting staff, cleared a tree from th roadway in the 46300 block of Quartzville Road, near MS 400 gate.
1:24 p.m. – Multiple callers reported a noninjury motor vehicle crash, 1300 block of Sunset Lane. One of the vehicles sustained damage over $2,500.
7:47 p.m. – Carrie Giles, 42, was cited for no driver’s license and driving uninsured, 4th Ave./Main St.
