Sweet Home police, sheriff logs for April 24-30, 2023

April 24

4:39 a.m. – Caller reported $750 in equipment lighting stolen from the 23000 block of Brush Creek Road. Deputy investigated. Report taken.

8:19 a.m. – Robin Renee Trout, 59, was cited and released on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for driving under the influence of intoxicants, 1300 block of Clark Mill Road. Also cited for driving with a suspended license.

8:21 a.m. – Theft of logging equipment reported from Cascade Timber Consulting property, 24600 block of Crescent Hill Road. Estimated value: $1,400. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.

9:30 a.m. – Single-vehicle non-injury crash reported in the 43200 block of Marks Ridge Drive. Report taken.

9:38 a.m. – Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree theft, 1400 block of Sunset Lane.

9:59 a.m. – Dustin Wolfgang Furry, 22, was arrested for resisting arrest, providing false information to a police officer and on a Linn County Supervisory warrant for parole violation, 18th Ave./Main St.

10:59 a.m. – Caller reported a male stealing money from his brother’s account, Sweet Home area. Report taken for first-degree theft. Investigation continuing.

12:05 p.m. – Jeffrey Daniel Davis, 50, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants, Linn County Jail.

1:57 p.m. – Caller reported being harassed by workers at Gentle Dental because he called and flirted with a girl, 2700 block of Long St.

2:09 p.m. – Caller reported a stolen trailer, 3700 block of Long St. Report taken for first-degree theft. Approximate value: $15,000.

2:37 p.m. – Caller reported a disturbance between male and a female, and screaming children, 18th Ave./Willow St. Shauna Ray Harden, 29, was cited and released on a Lebanon Police Department warrant for driving with a suspended license, a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft, a criminal citation X11, providing false information to a police officer and possession of meth X2, and on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of attempting to elude a police officer.

2:42 p.m. – Christopher Bacorn-Renoud, 31, of Sweet Home, was taken into custody for violation of release agreement, 40300 block of Holley Heights Loop. Report taken.

3:06 p.m. – Caller reported a male confronting a landlord and her significant other, 1800 block of Kalmia St. William Jeffrey Coke, 58, was cited and released for second-degree disorderly conduct.

4:25 p.m. – Officer arrived at the earlier location to return keys to the male and found a broken window, 1800 block of Kalmia St. Report taken for second-degree criminal mischief. Approximate value: $200.

6:47 p.m. – John Paul Ohmer, 59, was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured, 3000 block of Main St.

9:41 p.m. – Cody Michael Lobdell, 27, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree theft, Linn County Jail.

9:57 p.m. – Aurora Faye Bechtel was cited for no valid driver’s license, 900 block of Long St.

April 25

1:50 a.m. – Deputies assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office in its search for a suspect, 26900 block of Doe Mountain Road.

7:04 a.m. – Deputies responded to a mental-health crisis, 38400 block of Wall St., Crawfordsville. Resources were provided to the involved parties.

12:01 p.m. – Deputies again responded to a mental-health situation in the 38400 block of Wall St., Crawfordsville. The Sheriff’s Office used a mental-health mobile response team and communication to get the individual to medical care at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. Report taken.

2:24 p.m. – Deputy patrolling dispersed camping areas along Quartzville Road contacted a group of nuisance transients attempting to set up camp illegally past milepost 17. They were sent on their way.

2:33 p.m. – Kayla McKnight, 32, of Sweet Home, was cited for operating an unsafe vehicle, operating without required lights and driving uninsured, 45000 block of Quartzville Road.

5 p.m. – Caller reported an internet cable and pole cut, 44100 block of Wiley Creek Drive. Approximately $15,000 in damages. Report taken.

April 26

2:28 a.m. – Demetrius Scott, 24, of Sweet Home, was cited and released on two outstanding warrants after caller reported trespassers in the 26000 block of Old Holley Road. Deputies responded to find male and female “hunting petrified wood.” Report taken.

8:26 a.m. – Gilberto Martinez Munoz, 66, was cited for no valid driver’s license, 1200 block of 13th Ave.

1:16 p.m. – A hit-and-run was reported in the 1000 block of Pleasant Valley Road. A fence at the location had been damaged by an unknown individual. Report taken.

1:33 p.m. – Caller reported neighbors littering on her property, 1100 block of Long St. Report taken for offensive littering.

2:04 p.m. – Raymond Lyle Tressel, 27, was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass, 2400 block of Main St.

2:45 p.m. – A male wearing a black hat and tank top was seen littering and making a mess, Green River Road/47th Ave. Report taken for offensive littering.

April 27

7:49 a.m. – Multiple callers reported a motor-vehicle crash at 18th Ave./Grape St. More than $2,500 in damage. Stephen Tyman, 43, was cited for dangerous left turn.

8:09 a.m. – Public Works reported that a group had sprayed graffiti in the bathrooms of Sankey Park the previous evening, 14th Ave. The caller believed one of the involved males was currently at the location. Officer responded, contacted male and excluded him from all city parks. Carson Albert Strasser, 33, was cited and released for second-degree criminal mischief. Kyle James Elmer, 31, cited and released on a Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court.

8:56 a.m. – Caller into the police department reported money taken from an account, 1100 block of 23rd Ave. Report taken for first-degree theft. Approximate loss of value: $2,199.

9:19 a.m. – Deputy located a disabled vehicle on BLM land in the 50300 block of Quartzville Road. Turned out not to be a crash. Operator walked out to get help and found a ride to Sweet Home.

11:18 a.m. – Caller reported someone using her and her child’s Social Security numbers to file taxes, 600 block of 17th Ave.

1:02 p.m. – Benjamin Phillip Hyatt, 44, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

2:21 p.m. – Tara Parks, 43, was cited for speeding 37/20, Kalmia St./Mountain View Road.

8:14 p.m. – Marick Allen Tyree Best, 22, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of harassment, Lebanon Police Department.

8:32 p.m. – Brenda Welch, 54, of Sweet Home, was cited for driving while suspended, Hwy. 228/Valley View Drive.

8:52 p.m. – Ryan Dale Magee, 46, was arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct and theft of services, Deschutes County.

10:56 p.m. – Christian Jacob Boatwright, 30, was cited and released on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for third-degree theft, 40th Ave./Main St. Also cited for driving uninsured and driving with a suspended license.

April 28

3:17 a.m. – Caller reported an apparently intoxicated male screaming and banging on a trailer door, 1200 block of 44th Ave. The caller believed a child may have been inside. Kaelen Taeler Stansbury, 20, was cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of menacing.

11:49 a.m. – Caller reported open fire safe in ditch, 42800 block of Upper Calapooia Drive. This has been reported in the past and is litter.

12:05 p.m. – Bryce McGowan, 39, was cited and released on a Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court, 2200 block of Nandina St.

3:32 p.m. – Deputy found people moving personal effects into a home, 40800 block of Hwy. 228. They claimed they owned it and had documentation, but could not provide it. They were told to move their stuff out and move along.

4:40 p.m. – Deputy found two males setting up camp under a bridge, 49700 block of Quartzville Road. They packed up and moved to the BLM camping facility.

8 p.m. – Caller reported a verbal disturbance and a truck running into another vehicle, 1200 block of Sunset Lane. Damage: over $2,500.

April 29

7:12 a.m. – Deputy checked on cleanup progress in a transient camp on Weyerhaeuser property at milepost 11, Upper Calapooia Drive. “None was made.”

7:49 a.m. – Dakota Johnson, 31, of Albany, was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant out of Albany Municipal Court, 44500 block of Quartzville Road. Report taken.

7:52 a.m. – An injured emu was found in the roadway, Pleasant Valley Road/Meridian Heights Loop. Owners were contacted and took control.

9:01 a.m. – Deputy patrolling Quartzville dispersed camping sites and addressed an illegal campfire at the Boulder Creek gravel pit. The deputy also contacted several nuisance campers about loud music and motorcycles.

9:17 a.m. – Caller reported finding a syringe in her yard, 600 block of Juniper St. Item placed in a sharps container.

12:25 p.m. – Caller reported a trailer stolen from the 43800 block of Wiley Creek Drive. Report taken.

12:52 p.m – Caller reported his neighbor’s dog attacking another neighbor, and the dog’s owner threatening others in the past, 2200 block of Nandina St. Scott David Citro, 47, was cited for dog-at-large.

3:36 p.m. – Caller reported losing $700 in an online scam, 2300 block of Birch St. Report taken for second-degree theft.

4:20 p.m. – Brittany Coughram, 33, was cited on a failure-to-appear bench warrant after she was contacted after allegedly causing a disturbance at Calkins Park, 44600 block of Quartzville Road.

6:47 p.m. – Sean Matthew Pierce was cited for driving uninsured and failure to display plate, 7-Eleven, 2405 Main St.

April 30

8:52 a.m. – Michael Matthews, 38, was cited and released on a Linn County Justice Court warrant for first degree criminal trespass, 4100 block of Osage St.

10:24 a.m. – Deputy responded to a report of a dog bite in the 28200 block of Ridgeway Road. Report taken.

12:36 p.m. – Caller reported finding remnants of a wooded transient camp with garbage, in the 40900 block of Calapooia Drive. The transients were identified and will be cited when they are found.

3:30 p.m. – Caller reported a male stealing multiple items from Dollar General, 1937 Main St. Report taken for third-degree theft. Approximate value: $70.

6 p.m – Bryanna Sue Harley, 31, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft and an Albany Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, 100 block of 10th Ave.
