The Lebanon Community Chorus will host “True Light,” a winter concert, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, at First Presbyterian Church of Lebanon, 145 Ash St.
Under the direction of Dr. J. Ed Hughes, the chorus will feature pieces from Handel’s well known oratorio “Messiah”, to some unique takes on more traditional carols, and several other beautiful additions for the winter season.
LCC is a collection of around 45 talented singers from Lebanon, Sweet Home, Brownsville, Albany and surrounding areas. This non-auditioned chorus is open to all voices, 16 years and older.
A portion of ticket sale proceeds are donated to the Lebanon Schools Foundation Music
Education Fund in support of local music education in the Lebanon schools. Currently this fund is also being made available to upgrade instruments that elementary music teachers use to teach basic music skills.
Tickets to this concert are $10; all those under 18 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the
Lebanon Chamber of Commerce, the Lebanon Bi-Mart, and at the door.
