Vehicle, driver sought in fatal Albany hit-and-run

The Albany Police Department is looking for the driver of a dark-colored mid-1980s to mid-1990s single-cab pickup, possibly a Nissan, involved in a fatal hit-and-run early Saturday morning, Dec. 10, in southeast Albany.

Responding to a 911 call at 4:22 a.m., police found 30-year-old Albany resident Alexandria Lee Mulrooney in the roadway in the 1400 block of Geary St. SE. Despite officers’ life-saving efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. No further information was available.

According to reports, police believe Mulrooney was struck by an unknown vehicle. The department seeks any video surveillance of the area of Geary St. SE between Pacific Blvd. and Queen Ave. between 4 and 4:30 a.m. that morning. The involved vehicle may have front-end damage per evidence left at the scene.
