Walker Street partially closed, starts Sept. 26

Walker Road will be closed to through traffic from Stoltz Hill Road to 12th Street beginning Monday, Sept. 26, to begin sanitary sewer installation.

As construction progresses to the east, additional segments of Walker Road will be closed to through traffic, ultimately leading to Walker Road being closed from Stoltz Hill Road to 6th Street until the beginning of October 2023. A detour route will be in place to guide motorists around the closure.

Motorists who normally use Walker Road to access residential areas to the south (for example, S. 12th, S. 10th, and S. 8th streets) are encouraged to use Vaughan Lane instead. Residents along Walker Road will be afforded reasonable access but should expect short periods of time where access to individual driveways may not be possible in addition to periodic delays and other related inconveniences.

Message boards will be put up on Walker Road at Stoltz Hill and close to South Main Road
to inform motorists of the sections of Walker Road that are currently closed. Residents are
also encouraged to go the City of Lebanon website at https://www.ci.lebanon.or.us/gis for
continuous updates regarding construction location and current road closures.
