Water Plant to go online for residents

Lebanon’s new $28 million water treatment plan, at 2500 River Road, is scheduled to go online April 9.
The new plant replaces this water treatment facility, located at A and Second streets, which was built in 1946.

Beginning Tuesday, April 9, the City of Lebanon will begin operating the new Water Treatment Plant located on River Road.

After several years of design and construction and two months of successful water quality testing, the new WTP will begin providing water to residents and businesses of Lebanon. The existing WTP (located on Second Street) will be turned off to allow the transition to the new WTP.

City officials say they expect very little, if any, changes in water quality during the transition. City maintenance crews will perform hydrant flushing throughout the city to help maintain successful water quality during the switchover to the new Water Treatment Plant.

Residents who notice any difference in water quality are asked to contact the City of Lebanon at (541) 451.0101 with any concerns. Thank you in advance for your patience as we begin this process.
