Winter concert: A Parent’s Love

The Lebanon Community Chorus is hosting their upcoming winter concert, “A Parent’s Love,” at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Lebanon High School Auditorium, 1700 S 5th St.

Under the direction of Alyson Stewart-Fewless, the chorus will feature pieces from Classical composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Ave Verum) to contemporary Ola Gjeilo (Dark & Luminous Night). Both of these pieces – and several others being performed – include accompaniment by a string quartet.

Thanks to the Linn County Cultural Coalition, the Lebanon Community Chorus has been able to hire a string quartet to play alongside our chorus as well as our skilled pianist, Bill Langdon.

The Lebanon Community Chorus is a collection of nearly 30 talented singers from Lebanon, Sweet Home, Brownsville, Albany, and surrounding areas. This non-auditioned chorus is open to all voices, 18 years and older, with approval from the director for anyone younger.

General admission to the concert is $10; seniors (over 55) are $8. All those under 18 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce, the Lebanon Bi-Mart, and at the door. For further information contact Alyson Stewart-Fewless (Associate Director) at 541-409-5455 or Doug Young (Board President) at 541-570-5477.
