Woman arrested in death of Albany man

An Albany woman was arrested Monday on a second-degree murder charge in connection to a death that occurred west of the city in early June.

Tennisha Quin Bourne, 34, is suspected of killing Charles Thomas Mooney, 38, of Albany. Investigators determined that Bourne, reportedly Mooney’s ex-girlfriend, was involved with his death. Based on an arrest warrant, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office in Tacoma, Wash., found her after responding to her location on an unrelated call. She was taken to the Pierce County Jail.

Mooney’s death was first reported shortly before 9 a.m. June 2 on Willoway Drive, west of Albany, when responding deputies found him deceased at the scene.

The Albany Police Department is assisting in the investigation as part of Linn County’s Major Crimes Team.
