Search for library director continues

On May 24, an interview panel interviewed four finalists for the Lebanon library director position and unanimously agreed that the city should continue the search process and seek additional candidates for consideration.

A fifth finalist notified the panel just prior to interviews that he or she decided to withdraw from consideration.
There was no consensus on a candidate for the position. Additionally, comments submitted by the public at the meet and greet event held on May 23 showed no preponderance of support for any of the finalists.

The panel included Mayor Paul Aziz, Councilor Robert Furlow, Library Advisory Board Chairperson Garry Browning, Library Assistant II Kendra Antila, Library Assistant II Jaime Oakeson, Senior Services Director Kindra Oliver, and City Manager Gary Marks

The city’s administration is currently preparing plans to move forward with the process and will update the community in the near future concerning the status of the search.
