An earthquake shook east Linn County just before 6 a.m. today, Friday, Oct. 7, centered about 9 miles east/southeast of Lacomb, according to preliminary information from the U.S. Geological Survey.
The USGS reported the magnitude at 4.4 and that it occurred about 8.87 miles deep in the earth.
Sweet Home Police reported receiving “multiple calls” from residents following the tremor.
Linn County Road Department reported personnel are inspecting roads and bridges in the area for damage.
